World Environment Day 2010 and the Arts

In the last years the discussion about the environment has been brought to the public's attention and nowadays people start to be more aware of how they can contribute to minimize the human influence over it.
Artists can play an important role, be it through art itself or by using it to support environmental campaigns.
The approach between art and society tends to narrow and artists, designers and architects have the possibility to improve people's lifes through the development of environmental friendly ideas.
Today, June 5th, is celebrated the World Environment Day 2010 and for this year the United Nations Environment Programme has chosen the motto "Many Species One Planet One Future".
